  boy is this great!

  i'm watching a movie on it while looking at this board.

  this is my first new one in about 6 years.

  What did you get and what software and attachments?

  Shopping for a note book

  I got a Dell Inspiron 6000. 60GB hd, Intel pro wirless, 24x Combo DVD/CD-RW and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand. It came with Works Suite 2005 which has Money,Streets & Trips, Encarta, Works8, Word, Picture it all of which I all ready have but I guess newer is better. I have MS Office and I'll put that on this pc. We bought it with my wifes discount through her work so I guess the price was good but I think you can buy them for about the same directly through Dell. The profit margins are pretty tight on electronics. It came with a USB flash memory and I order a wireless mouse because I'm not good with the pad thing on notebooks. The mouse is made by Kensington and seems to work quite well. This computer seems to do everything I want it to do. If I have any problems with it I'll let you know. The only problem I am having so far is trying to download Mozilla and Firefox. I get a ........is not a valid Win32 Application.

  I've just been told Satan has control of my mind

  an old jw woman just called me for my sisters phone number.

  in the usual chit chat she asked how the meeting were etc.

  i said i dont go and that i dont believe it anymore.

  Boy did I bugger that up. I'll try again. It always amazes me that these old witnesses don't realize that they are living proof that the WT hasn't a clue what they are talking about. As for satan controling your mind. Next time you see her ask her if he is using a joystick or a mouse. It would be interesting to know what type of technology satan prefers.

  Pictures of Paradise

  my wife made a comment today about all the pictures of paradise and how none of them ever show the inside of a house.

  they are always the same pictures of people outside playing with lions and water in the background.

  someone was talking in another post about how hard it is to make the simplest items.

  Like the late great Barbara G. Harrison said the Watchtowers idea of paradise looks like a Texas barbecue. The people pictured in the WT view of paradise look like they are being forced to have a good time whether they like it or not.

  when i was new to message board posting, i once got a little to involved with the people and found myself sucked into debate and people getting all grouped up in support of one another.

  yet, i had never met anyone on the message board.

  until one day, one of the people who debated me the most mentioned where he worked and it was in a town about two hours away.

  I haven't met any one this board yet except Randy W. who I met on several occasions but that was about 20 years ago. I have met several people I used to talk to when I posted on AOL. They were all very nice. I met a bunch of ex-dubs at the Irvine meet-up a few weeks ago but I don't think any of them post here. Every one I've met so far acts and looks pretty much like I thought they would. Except me of course, I'm very odd.

  I'm finally doing it!

  well, it's hard to believe, but i'm finally ready to go on my world travels that i've been planning for so long.

  seriously, i've been trying to get out of here since way back in my witness days, at least four or five years.

  finally, i've gotten everything lined up, all the loose ends tied - i am on my way.. i leave this thursday for my first leg: 3 months in japan!

  mom told me today that she checked out the territory where my dad lives and there is a note on the back of the map not to call on my dad's house because he is an apostate.

  lol the funny thing is that he was never even baptized.

  I think you should consider him on an honor roll. If you ask them about this they would probably say he was around it long enough to know it is the truth.
